A personal project of mine meant to increase access to winter sports for kids who otherwise may not have the chance to ski or ride.
Out There: Opening the Slopes to All
Skiing and snowboarding have the power to change lives, and Out There is committed to making sure every child has the opportunity to experience the magic of winter sports—regardless of financial barriers. In partnership with Otsego Resort and the local community, Out There provides season passes, gear, and lessons to kids who might not otherwise have the chance to hit the slopes.
Our Impact So Far
Equipped 10 children with full ski and snowboard setups
Provided season passes to all participating kids
Covered the cost of lessons to help build confidence and skill
Even helped families with transportation to ensure kids could make it to the resort
This program wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our community. Whether through donated gear, financial contributions, or simply spreading the word, every effort helps us bring more kids into the world of skiing and snowboarding.

Art in the Ally
With the help of Awrey Films, Lisa Marie Tobin and myself we were able to take 2nd place in the Consumers energy “put your town on the map” grant contest. This awarded us $15,000 to put towards Lisa Marie’s dream “Art in the Ally”. Dharma squad has been hard at work creating mural concepts for Art in the Ally and we are STOKED to burn some cans in the ally very soon!
United Way & Power of the Purse

Save the Skatepark
Saving our local skatepark was our first mission and the reason Dharma Squad exists! With no money, and no clue what we were doing, we were able to acquire the ramp park in an auction with a zero dollar bid and a promise to keep the park in our community. Moving the skatepark took 100s of volunteer hours, most of which took place in freezing rain and snow.
Skatepark Mural project
A dream 7 years in the making. With the help of Ellen Templeton and Gaylord Arts we secured $10,000 to repaint our local ramp park! We hired 5 of our favorite local artists and spent 2 weeks, sun up to sun down emptying cans on paint on the ramps.

Golf Outting
Through outreach and support organizations such as the Trinity Lutheran Cancer Support Group, T.A.C.K.L.E. has been able to provide individuals with assistance for the unforeseen burdens that come with diagnosis such as out of town lodging, fuel, specialized clothing and other needs. Dharma Squad has been privileged with contributing our graphic art services as well as video and photo work to this incredible event!
